Record a journal entry of how you used one of our in-class focus blocks. What did you accomplish during this time? What did you struggle with? What might be your next step in your focus block? Set a goal.
During our in-class focus block, I got a good amount of work done. Throughout the block, I did a grand overview of my entire project. I looked into allegories and looked into Dr. Seuss books to find books with allegories. I managed to accomplish getting some information on important aspects of an allegory and found some children’s books with allegories in them. I looked into and took apart Yertle the Turtle and Green Eggs and Ham. However, I struggled because I didn’t have the books themselves and had to use online pdf’s and some of the pdf’s I downloaded wouldn’t open. I could of gotten a lot more work done if I had the books. To fix this for my next work block, I will make sure I have all the resources I need to make the most out of the work block. My goal for the next work block is to finish my research with allegories and focus mainly on picking apart children’s books. I plan on picking apart at least three children’s books by the end of my next work block.
